Dear Juno,

Dear Juno,

As a man in this world my opinion on this matter is a little less valid because i will never have to face the struggles and decisions that you had to. However I personally believe that you made the best decision you possibly could given the situation that you put yourself in. I believe that you taking the baby to term and giving up for adoption saved a life while making someone else dreams come true.

Through the movie it was vary apparent that many people were trying to convince you to have an abortion. I admire the strength you had to stick to your plan of adoption and that you did the best you could with the baby. I believe that the situation you were put in is not entirely your fault because a man should know to cover it up if he does not plan on having a child in his life. However you should know the same thing and have enough self respect and knowledge to not get pregnant. In the end I believe that you made the best decision that you possibly could have given the circumstances that you were presented with at 16.

As a man I believe that it in the end is a woman’s body and she has the right to choose for abortion however the man should be included in the conversation. Yes there are cases where abortion helps woman out and is the best option that they legitimately have. The man should be apart of the conversation because either he is going to have to live with the fact that his child was killed and knowing what led to those consequences. On the other hand if the woman keeps the baby to term then he needs to know because he may have to halt the next 18 years of his life and know all his plans are ruined. So he needs to be in the conversation of adoption at that point because both people have a say over the child because it is his life too.

On the topic of abortion i think that it being legal is a great thing because it is a safe and reasonable way for the girl to go about getting what she wants. If it was made illegal that wouldn’t stop some woman from getting what they want they would just get it done in some alley somewhere regardless of the risk.A woman should have more sense than to have unprotected sex without the plan of a child however if put in the situation of being pregnant than they deserve to have the right to choose.
